January 2015: Received a 2-year award in the amount of $31,831 from The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) for the Reducing Disparities in Breastfeeding through Peer and Professional Support (Breastfeeding) Project.

January 2013: Received an award from the United States Breastfeeding Committee (USBC) in the amount of $4700 to make connections with Best Fed Beginnings hospitals in our state and support their work toward Baby Friendly steps 3 and 10.

January 2012: Received $2500 grant from the Health and Human Services Office on Women’s Health and EveryMother, Inc to highlight employers of hourly workers efforts to create breastfeeding friendly work places. Ten NC businesses will be featured, with photographs, in a national registry.
